This year we have 4 open meetings scheduled. All of our meetings will be held at Christ United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm on the dates listed below. The meetings will cover the following topics:

June 5th

How Your City Works and How to Get Involved

This meeting will be presented by City Council member Marcia Marcoux and Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede. They will be discussing opportunities to get involved within the city and how you can make a difference. This is an open meeting to everyone so if you have been wanting to have a voice in Rochester here is your chance to learn how. Come early to get a good seat.

Tuesday August 5th

Progressive Neighborhood Garden Walk

This meeting is more of a social event than a neighborhood meeting. It is in conjunction with National Night Out. It will be an opportunity to see some of the spectacular gardens within our neighborhood and hopefully talk with the people who planted them. The walking will begin at 7:00 pm from Christ United Methodist Church. We will be providing maps of participating homes. Show up early to get your map, plan your route and be on the hunt by 7:00. Then stop back afterwards and share what you saw with each other.

August 7th

Neighborhood Inventory & Neighborhood Buildings at Risk

This meeting will discuss the results of a neighborhood property inventory that was completed last Fall. This meeting will be presented by the HSNA board. Stop by to see how we rated our own neighborhood and what we might be able to do to help preserve it and how we can have our voices heard as it changes and is developed.

October 2nd

Green II: Ways to Make a Positive Environmental Impact in Our Neighborhood

As the cost of energy continues to climb we will be discussing things we can all do to save energy and help our neighborhood. Trees shade our homes in Summer and allow the sun to warm our homes in the Winter, all the while making our neighborhood a nicer place to live. Lets get together and discuss what else we can all do.
